Registration Information
There are several options to register:

On-Site: Arrive between 8:30-8:45 on the first day of the session to register on site.
Registration by phone or on-line closes the Thursday prior to a session’s first day. There must be at least 4 Junior Lifeguard participants for a program to run at a facility. If this minimum is not met, the program will be CANCELLED. Parents and guardians will be notified the Friday prior to a session’s first day. Full refunds will be given. To avoid this, please register early and on-line/phone.
FEES
- Residents
- $125 for morning (9am-12pm) or afternoon (1pm-4pm)
- $160 for full day (9am-4pm)
- Non-Residents
- $139 for morning (9am-12pm) or afternoon (1pm-4pm)
- $176 for full day (9am-4pm)
- Session 3 (holiday week, no class on 7/4)
- $100/$114 (Resident/Non Resident for morning (9am-12pm) or afternoon (1pm-4pm)
- $130/$146 (Resident/Non Resident) for full day (9am-4pm)
OTHER FEES
There is a mandatory uniform fee for first time Junior Lifeguards. Returning junior lifeguards with a complete uniform are not required to pay this fee. A complete uniform includes a hat, t-shirt, and swim trunks with the Junior Lifeguard patch. The cost for this uniform is $40. Uniform items may be purchased separately as needed: hat ($10), t-shirt ($10), swim trunks with patch ($25).

CERTIFICATION
Depending on the session, Junior Lifeguards will now have an opportunity to earn American Red Cross certificates in First Aid, Basic Water Rescue and CPR/AED. Note: This is optional. If interested, please inform the instructor on the Tuesday of the session. Cost will be $20 for processing.
MEDICAL CONSIDERATIONS
A participation waiver must be completed and submitted to the instructor on first day of participation. Parents should contact the JG Coordinator to discuss possible accomidations for participants with special needs. Please click here to access the participant waiver.
PREREQUISITES
Participants must be at least 8 but less than 14 and must demonstrate that they can tread water, and pass a 25 yard swim test administered on the first day of each session. Parents must be present for this swim test. Successful completion of the swim test is mandatory for program participation. If a parent has any doubts regarding their child’s ability to pass the swim test, a pretest is highly recommended. Pretesting is available at all facilities that have a Junior Lifeguard Program. Click on the Swim Test Form link to download and print the form for pretesting. Instructors will evaluate swimmers based on their swimming competence and confidence.
CANCELLATION
Junior Lifeguards who do not attend the first day will be dropped or lose his/her spot. There will be no refund for no-shows unless they contact registration or leave a message at the program facility. For a full refund or credit toward another program, at least five business days advance notice is necessary. Failure to notify the Reservations Office at least five business days in advance of your cancellation will result in forfeiture of the program fee. The Reservations Office is open Monday through Friday. The last day to cancel a Sat or Sun program is the prior Monday. If the pool is closed due to unforeseen accidents, Junior Lifeguard customers will be refunded a prorated amount for the missed time. There will be no makeup sessions offered.
DISCOUNTS
There is a 10% discount for each additional session when an individual child enrolls in multiple sessions during the same year and MUST be in the same transaction. There is a 10% discount for each additional child when more than one child from the same family is enrolled at the same time and MUST be in the same transaction. Discounts are only available at the time when registering. Discounts will not be given on-site.
